Vitafoods Europe has entered a multi-year partnership with FEEB to support nutrition and sports programmes for disadvantaged children in Barcelona, with initiatives expected to benefit more than 700 young people in the next year

Vitafoods Europe has announced a new partnership with La Fundació privada per a l'Esport i l'Educació de Barcelona (FEEB), a non-profit organisation that uses healthy lifestyle initiatives to provide equal opportunities for young people across Barcelona.

The collaboration, which spans multiple years, will see Vitafoods Europe support programmes that promote healthy nutrition and help to raise awareness of FEEB's work among the event's international community.

Vitafoods Europe partners with Barcelona charity FEEB to improve children's access to healthy nutritionEstablished in 1999, FEEB uses sport and education as tools to promote inclusion, wellbeing and equal access to healthy nutrition for disadvantaged children.

It supports more than 2500 children and young people in Barcelona annually, delivering programmes that ensure every child has access to opportunities for development through work with the city's schools, families and community organisations.

Vitafoods Europe is partnering with FEEB to support the Healthy Third Half programme, which provides nutritious snacks for children after sports sessions.

This initiative promotes balanced nutrition and an active lifestyle while also offering 200 healthy meals for children with specific dietary needs, ensuring equitable access to nutritious food.

Together, these efforts are expected to benefit more than 700 children in the next year.Vitafoods Europe partners with Barcelona charity FEEB to improve children's access to healthy nutrition

Additionally, Vitafoods Europe will showcase FEEB’s work to the international health and nutrition community, raising awareness and fostering connections with exhibitors and local stakeholders.

The partnership will include exhibitor engagement days and promotional opportunities to support FEEB’s mission.

Speaking on the programme, Marcelo Brull, Sustainability Manager at Vitafoods Europe, Informa Markets, said: "At Vitafoods Europe, our purpose is to inspire innovation that supports better health through nutrition and we believe that responsibility extends beyond the exhibition hall."

"Partnering with FEEB allows us to give back to the city that hosts us by supporting local children and families to lead healthier lives."

As an event that brings together the global health and nutrition community, we have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference locally and bring the industry together around a shared purpose that outlasts the event.

Sílvia Pérez, Head of Marketing at the Consell de l'Esport Escolar de Barcelona (CEEB), the organisation behind FEEB, added: "Every child should have the opportunity to grow, learn and lead a healthy life."

"We are delighted to partner with Vitafoods Europe to improve the wellbeing of children and young people across Barcelona."

Partnerships like this allow us to go further — strengthening our programmes, reaching more families and working together to create lasting positive change in our community.
