But while TikTok and Instagram continue to fuel interest in the latest beauty and wellness innovations, they have also created a more informed and discerning consumer. Increasingly, shoppers are looking beyond viral marketing claims in favour of products backed by scientific evidence. Against this backdrop, Finnish startup Zephyrian is developing carotenoid-based capsules to support a "sun-free, year-round tan" by influencing skin tone from within using a science-led formulation approach.
Sitting at the convergence of two major trends — longevity and beauty-from-within — Zephyrian appears well-positioned to find its niche in the nutricosmetics space, but only if it can meet the expectations of this increasingly knowledgeable consumer base.
