CoreFX Ingredients has launched CreaSHLD-IN, a proprietary shielded creatine ingredient, at SupplySide Global 2026.
Addressing formulation barriers: Developed through CoreFX’s CoreNhanced BioJourney platform, CreaSHLD-IN uses proprietary shielding technology to help protect creatine integrity, improve dispersion and reduce visible settling.
The technology is designed to broaden creatine use beyond powders into ready-to-consume formats where aqueous stability and particle behaviour can limit formulation.
Evaluation highlights: In three separate 24-hour evaluations — room-temperature water, hot water and simulated gastric conditions — CreaSHLD-IN maintained creatine content with no detectable creatinine formation under the conditions tested.
“CreaSHLD-IN is designed to help manufacturers manage creatine stability and dispersion in beverage and gummy systems,” said Dr Adam Garland, Chief Science Officer at CoreFX.
“Our evaluations focused on creatine retention, creatinine formation and recovery in finished formulations.”
Formulation results
- 99% creatine recovery in a pectin gummy targeting 23% creatine loading
- 100% recovery in a gelatin gummy targeting 21% creatine loading
- More uniform water dispersion and less visible settling than conventional creatine monohydrate after 15 minutes under identical mixing conditions
The results support development in beverages, gummies and other convenient delivery formats.
