Lonza Capsugel has announced it will be showcasing its hard empty capsules and technologies, dosage form expertise, specialised CDMO capabilities and science‑backed health ingredients at this year's SupplySide Global show
Based at Booth 6065, the company will highlight its Capsugel Organicaps plant-based capsules, UC-II undenatured type II collagen and advanced liquid delivery and capsule technologies.
As sustainability becomes more important to consumers, Lonza Capsugel designed Capsugel Organicaps capsules to help brands appeal to these conscientious consumers.
Made from pullulan produced organically by fermenting tapioca (and now available in size 0), the capsules are 100% biobased and manufactured in North America using 100% renewable electricity.
Lonza also touted that the new Organicaps offer the lowest oxygen permeability of any capsule shell material, helping preserve the integrity of oxygen-sensitive ingredients while delivering excellent stability and immediate release performance.
