Vitatech Nutritional Sciences, Inc. is now registered by National Science Foundation International (NSF) as having met international GMP standards

Private label manufacturer Vitatech Nutritional Sciences, Inc. (www.vitatech.com) has announced that it is now registered by National Science Foundation International (NSF) as having met the International good manufacturing practices (GMP) standards. 'NSF certification ensures customers that the products Vitatech manufactures for them meet the highest standards,' commented Thomas Tierney, Vitatech CEO. Vitatech has been certified by the NSF since January 2014.

Vitatech Nutritional Sciences, Inc. is a 60-year US-based manufacturer of dietary supplements and nutritional products. From its pharmaceutically licensed, cGMP facility in Tustin, California, it provides contract manufacturing services to customers worldwide. Products and services include powders, two-piece capsules, tablets, capsule banding, enteric coating, full range packing services and product formulation.

NSF developed and maintains the only accredited American National Standard to certify dietary supplements, NSF/ANSI Standard 173. The NSF certification process is a comprehensive product-testing programme in NSF-accredited laboratories and an extensive manufacturing process evaluation that ensures the actual product contents match what appears on the label.

NSF International's GMP Registration Program enables manufacturers to become independently registered by NSF to meet GMP requirements. The programme is open not just to manufacturers of dietary supplements but also to manufacturers of ingredients and raw materials, as well as distribution, warehousing and packaging companies, who want to demonstrate their commitment to public safety
