Everwell Health's nutraceutical offshoot, Nutrition 21, has debuted EverZen, a stress-busting ingredient derived from non-GMO corn.

The standardised 6-methoxy-2-benzoxazolinone (6-MBOA) extract is designed to promote a healthy stress response in users, and has been touted for its role in mood support.

This follows the launch of the company's non-stimulant nootropic ingredient, nooLVL.

EverZen is currently patent pending, and has been proven to function through a unique method of action; boosting the production of key neurochemicals, while reducing levels of the stress hormone, cortisol.

To find out more about the ingredient, the studies underpinning its efficacy, the elements that set EverZen apart from its counterparts and how formulators can utilise it, NBR spoke with Catherine Kwik-Uribe, Chief Science Officer of Nutrition21.
