The management of diabetes — and weight loss to support it — is undergoing a huge period of disruption.

But the introduction of GLP-1 drugs in UK medical settings isn’t the first time the world of weight loss has been shaken up.

Total Diet Replacement (TDR) products, described as nutritionally complete, low-calorie meals designed to help you lose weight safely and sustainably, have been championed by brands such as Cambridge Weight Plan (The 1:1 Diet) since the 1980s.
